The Rainbow

Rainbows usually appear in rainy weather. But if you and your partner want to stay home and have fun, you could perhaps consider brightening up your day by making your own, very personal, kind of rainbow.

The rainbow position is far more demanding than other lateral positions and requires particular attention, but the result is definitely worth the trouble. If you have a mirror on the ceiling or in front of your bed, you’ll enjoy the sight of your own reflection as your two bodies intertwine in a lovely sculptural pose.

The woman lies on her side, either on a large double bed or on the floor, with her legs straight. The man lies on his side with his head level with his lover’s feet and slides in between her legs. She now has one leg on her lover’s hip and the other on the bed.

The man penetrates the woman with his legs stretched and bends his upper body upwards to hold and caress his partner’s shoulders, who holds his feet or ankles and pulls on them. In this position, also known as “drawing the bow”, the man is the bow and the woman is the arrow.

The penetrative angle is fairly unusual considering that the lovers’ bodies are in reversed positions. The woman discovers new sensations as her darling’s penis rubs sideways against her vagina, whose opening has narrowed. As is the case whenever he feels “squeezed”, the man derives his pleasure from rubbing his penis along the moist and warm inner realms of her vagina.

However, you shouldn’t rely on this position only, as it offers limited scope for movement and vigorous thrusts. It probably won’t bring you to climax but the rainbow position may well become one of your favourite ways of starting your climb towards the peak of sexual satisfaction.
