The Phoenix of joy
In the Phoenix of joy position, the lovers are seated face to face, giving them greater freedom to explore each other's bodies, which adds variety to the sexual act.

In all variations of the Phoenix of joy position, the woman sits on the man's thighs while he penetrates her vagina. The man can be seated on a stool, chair or armchair, or on the edge of the bed, his feet on the ground. Otherwise he can sit on the ground, or the edge of the bed, with his feet out stretched. He can keep his thighs together or separate them - so that the woman's buttocks rest between his thighs - until he's seated securely, in a cross-legged position.
There are many advantages to the Phoenix of joy position: the intimate embrace and the close contact between the lover's upper bodies; they can kiss each other's hair, necks, backs, shoulders, hips and buttocks with ease; and the woman is free to move her pelvis at will, which can very sexually stimulating.
If the couple are sitting on a chair, using her feet for support, the woman can slide up and down on her lover's penis, alternating the movements. She can also experiment with her thrusting, and rubbing against her partner's stomach.
In this position, penetration can be very deep, allowing the man to "plunge his phoenix into her cave of joy". The couple alternate intense moments of rapid thrusting with more tender moments, when completely still, they surrender to the sweetness of their embrace.
The advantages of the Phoenix of joy make it equally popular with homosexual couples, attracted by the intense excitement and tenderness that it evokes.
